Judgment at the door?

The news yesterday was reporting about a couple of earthquakes that occurred in the United States. This recent quake epicenter was very close to Washington, D.C., the Capital of our Nation. It actually cracked the top of the Washington’s monument. It is one thing for possible signs of judgment to show forth in our Nation, but when a sign makes itself known right in the Capital of the Nation, we should begin to ponder if this could be a precursor of more to come if the peoples of this Country will not repent. If our great God steps aside due to our disobedience, He will allow judgment (curses) to come upon us. One reporter on the Good Morning America show, asked the question if this could be a wake up call. Of course she was speaking about earthquakes which are more common in the west. But she may have spoken a prophetic word unintentionally. The things happening to our world and this Nation, should be a wake up call for the people to turn back to the living God!

The scriptures show that the Lord allowed disobedience to go on for hundreds of years, sending prophets and ministers to warn. Eventually if no repentance is found among the people and the leaders of a Nation, He then permits judgments to come. He breaks down the hedge of protection which opens the door to demonic powers to invade the land (sometimes through human agents such as 911) and wreck havoc with a Nation.

We all must admit that the World and this Country is in a great mess. It seems as though the leaders of the World do not know what to do. But it might just be true that our leaders know exactly what they are doing. Because of disobedience to the laws of God, men and women in positions of power and authority have become reprobate and are then subdued by unclean spirits. The President and those in power are under the influence of powerful spiritual entities who are directing their decision making. Their goal is the destruction of our once great nation. Their goal is a one world government, a one world economy and a one world religion.

Time may be about up for our repentance. Not just our ungodly leaders, but our own peoples! But once we get to the tipping point, the Lord will step out of the way and allow judgment to come. Time and time again this same scenario took place with ancient Israel. Time and time again they were removed from their homeland and went into captivity to other Nations. History repeats itself. Each time, Israel while in captivity would finally realize the reasons why they were there. They would turn back to their God and God would hear their cry and would save them before they were destroyed totally.

If this is our time, then you must prepare yourself for what is coming. Prepare yourself physically yes, but you must prepare yourself spiritually first and foremost. There will be some who will survive the time of great tribulation. Why some will even survive the time of God’s wrath. So physical salvation is possible but for most very unlikely. But if you prepare yourself spiritually, the Lord God can supernaturally sustain and protect with great and mighty miracles!

I believe that the Lord our God is a supernatural God. A Hydrogen bomb could explode right on top of our head and we would not be hurt if our God finds us worthy of saving physically. But even if we die, there is the resurrection! One old man once said, “the grave may be the safest place to be at the time of the end.” In the grave, you have no thoughts, no pains, no knowledge of what is going on. When asteroids hit this planet, volcanoes explode, great and devastating hurricanes, tidal waves that could actually sweep over an entire Country the Lord can protect, whether in the grave or still alive, all things are possible with the almighty God.

It remains to be seen if the crack in the top of the Washington’s monument would actually mean something prophetically significant. This may be a crack in the hedge of protection that we have lived under for all these years. When judgments finally run their course, the same monument may end up falling all the way down. Either at the hands of evil and ungodly men or by natural disaster, God will bring about the promise of curses upon “we the people” for our national disobedience. But just as easy, He could also overtake us with tremendous blessings greater than anything we have yet to experience, if we would just repent and turn back to Him, keep His commandments and walk in His ways.

Biblically, the true Church are spiritual Israelites. But there are still physical Israelites upon the Earth today. The tribe of Judah (nicknamed the Jews) are just one tribe. We here at the Old Paths Restoration Ministry believe that the United States and Great Britain are descendants of Joseph, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The everlasting covenant made with our ancient forefathers is still in affect in our day and along with it the law of blessings and curses. Read the two chapters at the end of this editorial and try and picture our great Nation as for what it once was and still is for the most part under the verses describing the blessings and then see us now under the verses describing the beginnings of the curses. If you have an ear to hear what the Spirit is speaking to the Churches and if you have your spiritual eyes opened you will be astounded at what you shall read. When I read such scriptures, tears of sorrow come to my eyes for my homeland, the United States of America.
